The library sets a small number of first-party cookies that the site needs to function. We run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies.

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in and protects forms (CSRF). Expires when you sign out or the session ends.
• Remember-me cookie — set only if you tick "remember me" at sign-in, so the site recognises your device.
• Theme preference — stores light/dark mode so the page does not flash when you return.

What each one is doing, in plain words: without the session cookie the site could not tell your requests apart from anyone else's, forms could not refuse forgeries, and signing in would not hold for a page turn. The remember-me cookie exists only because you asked for it at sign-in — never otherwise — and the theme preference stores exactly one fact about you: which mode you last chose.

What we don't set

For completeness, the negatives: no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party analytics cookies, and no fingerprinting. Nothing follows you out of the library when you leave.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the library will keep working, but you will need to sign in again each visit and the theme will reset.
