This is the first volume of the two-volume Ra Contact edition, presenting the opening fifty-six sessions of the material known as the Law of One. Between January 1981 and March 1984, physicist Don Elkins questioned, Carla Rueckert served as instrument, and Jim McCarty took down the words of a contact identifying itself as Ra, a social memory complex bound to the Law of One. This restored edition, produced from the original session tapes by the L/L Research team with Tobey Wheelock's relistening project, prints the sessions in question-and-answer form with the group's forewords, an account of how the contact came to be, and an introduction for new readers. The conversations move from the nature of the Creator and the densities of evolution through energy centers, healing, polarization between service to others and service to self, and the practice of meditation, always circling the teaching that all things are one. For the many readers who met this material in earlier editions, the volume offers the sessions as they were actually spoken; for newcomers it is the canonical door into one of the most studied channeled corpora of the twentieth century.
