The Kabbalah of Hanukkah

Hanukkah is the best-documented holiday in Jewish life and the least rooted in Torah, and Baal Kadmon's The Kabbalah of Hanukkah reads its hidden layer. The opening chapters establish the ground: the significance of Hanukkah, the Book of Maccabees as its historical source, the Book of Judith's connection to the festival, rabbinic reception, the traditions, and how to light the candles. A brief explanation of the Kabbalah prepares the reader for the book's second half: the kabbalah of Hanukkah itself, Hanukkah meditations, Tree of Life meditations keyed to the eight nights, and the names of God and their meanings as they surface in the festival's liturgy. Kadmon wrote the book for readers who keep the holiday and want its mystical depth, and for occult readers encountering the festival's structure for the first time. First published in 2019, it pairs with the author's Tefillin Magick and Sacred Names books in the Jewish side of his catalog.
