Tefillin, the phylacteries worn in Jewish prayer, are reframed here as magical equipment. Baal Kadmon's Tefillin Magick explains what tefillin are, the various types, and makes the case for why women and non-Jews may use them, before teaching how to put them on and the mystical significance the tradition attaches to them. The working section then calls on the powers bound into the boxes: the Lord of Hosts for protection, the Archangel Michael for protection, Gabriel for wisdom, Uriel for peace of mind, Raphael for physical healing, and Metatron for material abundance. Two darker workings follow, calling the demon Resheph to defeat your enemies and the demoness Alooka to control your enemy, and the book closes with a rite binding your soul with the Name of God. Part of the author's Jewish Magick series, it is the most ritualized of his Jewish titles and assumes no Hebrew. The materials are specific but few, and each rite stands alone.
