The first volume of the self-published Oracles & Oils series, an illustrated compilation that reads the Bible, Greek myth, and the tarot as one initiatory system built on sacred substances. Its long opening essay treats the heart as the center of lucidity, distinguishing lucid dreaming from lucid vision and reading the Hierophant's crossed keys, Christ's heart gesture, and the middle way as descriptions of the same transliminal state. From there it examines the pharmakon tradition: Hecate and the snake-venom medicine of ancient midwives and priestesses, Medea's fumigations, the anointing oils of spikenard, myrrh, and frankincense as delivery technology, the alabastron as a ritual instrument, and Mary Magdalene reframed as an initiated healer rather than a penitent. Eden's two trees appear as poison and antidote taken in sequence, Gethsemane's sweat as ritual substance, and Joseph's cup dreams as oracular divination. Interspersed sections on magnetism, Absolute Motion Theory, the monad, and the planetary benefics tie the symbolism to the author's speculative physics. A second volume continues the study.
