The witch of Aeaea gets a practical treatment in this short volume from Baal Kadmon. The historical half covers Circe the goddess of sorcery in Greek mythology and literature, drawing on the sources that describe her transformation of Odysseus's crew and her island craft. The working half is built around the wand: constructing a magick wand for Circe, then a sequence of rites that put it to use, including a protection ritual using a talisman pouch, divination with an obsidian mirror, personal empowerment, becoming seductive, enchanting another to do one's bidding, calling on Circe for physical healing, and calling on her for prosperity. The book keeps the mythology chapters separate from the ritual chapters so each kind of reader can use the book cleanly. It was first published in 2017 and requires only simple materials. Readers of Greek-inspired witchcraft who want a dedicated Circe practice rather than a passing mention will find it here.
